Let’s Beat Diabetes Together

What We Do

Prevention: Detection by identifying people at risk (Prediabetes Stages, gestational diabetes). Early detection is crucial in preventing the onset of diabetes. We focus on identifying individuals at risk, including those with prediabetes and gestational diabetes. Through educational programs, screenings, and targeted interventions, we aim to empower people to take proactive steps towards a healthier lifestyle and reduce their risk of developing diabetes.

Health Promotion:

  • Encouraging traditional food in combating diabetes: We promote the consumption of traditional, nutritious foods as part of a balanced diet to help manage and prevent diabetes. Our programs highlight the benefits of locally sourced, culturally appropriate foods and provide practical guidance on incorporating them into daily meals.
  • Teaching the importance of physical activities: Regular physical activity is essential for maintaining a healthy weight and managing diabetes. We offer exercise classes, organize community events, and educate individuals on the significance of incorporating physical activity into their daily routines.
  • Self-Management: Empowering individuals with diabetes to take control of their condition is a crucial aspect of our work. We provide self-management education, support groups, and resources to help people effectively manage their diabetes, monitor their health, and make informed decisions about their care.
